Conclusion
For those in the market for a no-nonsense mid-range graphics card, the GigaCube RADEON 9600 PRO might just be the right product to invest. It’s a rather unsophisticated card with a cheap-looking cooler unit, but surprisingly beneath the fan are three bright green, blue and red LEDs that sort of remind us of Christmas lightings. The LEDs do not light up all the time, but rather they follow some sort of preset patterns.

For matters regarding performance, the GigaCube RADEON 9600 PRO performed faithfully to its specifications in every test we threw at it. Even though the card was equipped with memory parts rated only for 600MHz DDR operation, we managed to overclock the card almost as well as other RADEON 9600 PRO graphics cards utilizing memory certified for much speedier operation. Priced just below the S$300 mark, it is marginally cheaper than the Gigabyte graphics card. Not to worry as the GigaCube RADEON 9600 PRO package doesn’t come empty-handed. It is bundled with CyberLink PowerDVD XP 4.0, a full version of Black Hawk Down game, DVI-I to DB15 Analog VGA converter and an S-Video / Composite extension cable dongle for TV-output. To sum it up, although the GigaCube RADEON 9600 PRO may not have an attractive appearance, but it certainly performs well (overclocking included), priced reasonably and gets the job done.
